Case Study 3: Fiber Optic Network Deployment (FTTx & Backbone)

Information & Communication Technologies Rollout
Client(s): Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Raga
Scale / Volume: 204 KM of Fiber Deployed + 160 Client Connections
Project Duration: Ongoing (Continuous Rollout)
Mobilized Workforce: 268 Specialized Technicians and Laborers
Scope
Deployment of fiber optic cables using UGET and ADSS technologies (Goma Metro Ring: 25km; Bukavu & Kinshasa Metro Rings: 21km and 17km; National Backbone: 141km) along with 160 final subscriber connections (FTTx).
Challenge
Carrying out precision pulling, stringing, and splicing operations in densely populated urban areas (Kinshasa, Goma) with heavy traffic and complex rights-of-way, without disrupting existing network traffic.
Execution
Deployment of a massive, highly qualified workforce (268 personnel) organized into day and night shifts for trenching, aerial/underground cable pulling, and fiber splicing. State-of-the-art optical testing tools were used to certify all links.
Result
Significantly expanded the high-speed network capacity of our clients and successfully delivered 160 active, ready-to-use subscriber connections.
